Global production is putting pressure on wheat markets.
Canadian Wheat Board Market Analyst Kaitlin Hodgins says both the international grains council and the USDA have increased forecasts by several million tonnes.

"It's as we have been forecasting for the last couple of months", she says, "large production that just keep increasing globally".

Hodgins says US wheat futures have declined by about 6 percent in the last month.

She says speculative fund activity, which was responsible for a small rally in November, has dropped over the last few weeks.
