'Heartland' fans will get to see what Christmas is like in the fictional town of Hudson, Alberta.
The CBC show...filmed in and around the foothills...has began production on a two-hour television movie that will air in December. Executive Producer Jordy Randall says it's pretty exciting for them to join the line-up of Christmas specials and step outside of the series a bit. To his surprise though, they've been struggling with the lack of snow to be found here. Randall says they've had to truck it in from higher altitudes in order to provide the right atmosphere for an avalanche scene as well as that true Christmas time feeling. He says they'll primarily be filming in the Millarville and Brag Creek areas this time around as well as at their indoor studio in Calgary. |
